Synopsis: Short film about a novelist (Maurice Garrel) plagued by writer’s block, a distracting beautiful woman (Natasha Parry) and a persistent drinking problem while trying to finish a story about a French vice consul in Calcutta.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): The writer shares his room with a longhair tabby cat who seems unconcerned about the novelist’s problems.

After failing at approaching the woman and writing the story, the man is lying on his bed with the cat while the narration in his head states, “This is hell!”
