Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Awkward and shy office worker Dorine (Carol Kane) finds the means to control her lopsided life by knocking off her fellow co-workers.
Kitty Cameos: Dorine, an obvious cat lover (she has a cat statue on her desk at home) owns at least three kitties seen throughout the film.
She also cares for her aging mother (Alice Drummond) who doesn’t want the cats upstairs in her room.
Her black cat watches as Dorine starts to bring her slain co-workers home with her.
The cats know strange things are afoot in the basement of the home.
Doreen treats the corpses like roommates, even having one of them “pet” her longhair brown tabby.
Needless to say things get messier as the story progresses, but the cats don’t seem to mind.
Final Mewsings: Cats are patient at putting up with our idiosyncrasies.
Many thanks to Mark Murton for letting me know about the cats in this film.
