Directed by: Jeff Lowell
Synopsis: A screwball comedy in which a deceased bride-to-be (Eva Longoria) haunts the psychic girlfriend (Lake Bell) of her former fiancé Henry (Paul Rudd).
Kitty Cameo: Late in the film Henry has had a falling out with his sister Chloe (Lindsay Sloane) over some of the earlier goings on. Henry is a veterinarian so Chloe shows up at his office with an Egyptian Mau cat. When asked how she suddenly has a cat she explains she adopted it.
Once inside the clinic, Henry wants to give the cat a shot and Chloe stops him. She confesses it is her neighbor’s cat. “Your neighbor let you borrow her cat to bring to the vet?” Henry asks. When Chloe doesn’t respond he gasps, “You stole a cat?”
After arguing, Henry suggests, “See if you can get the cat home without killing it.” “I think I can handle it!” Chloe insists, picking up the cat which she drops a few seconds later. The sound of the cat screeching and growling is dubbed in. Chloe picks up the cat and states, “He’s fine!” before leaving.
The cat(s) were trained by Boone’s Animals for Hollywood.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like to be borrowed, especially not for a trip to the vet!
