Synopsis: Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) tries to help the frail owner of an orchid supplier (Anne Barton) who is accused of murder when her husband loses stock in the company to a seedy gambler.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In the middle of the episode Perry Mason is approaching a house. Looking in the window he sees a Siamese cat sitting on a chess board.
Entering the house Mason finds it in disarray with the owner dead on the floor. As Mason examines the body, the Siamese cat appears for a moment, sniffs at the corpse, and then runs away.
During the scene Mason makes a phone call and looks down at the Siamese cat a couple of times.
Final Mewsings: Cats couldn’t care less about crime scenes.
