Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Henry Brewster (Leon Errol) bets that his future son-in-law can’t save one thousand dollars, saying he will double the amount once the lad does.
Kitty Cameo: Realizing that his daughter’s soon-to-be fiancé is getting close to saving the money, Henry panics and tries to figure out a way to quickly raise the money he will owe. He decides to hock his wife’s expensive bracelet and sneaks into the family safe late at night to retrieve it. He makes noise as he does so and when the family gathers on the landing above he meows so they will think it’s just the cat. This works once but the second time the family is surprised when their cat meows and then walks around the corner in front of them.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like taking the blame for things they aren’t doing.
