Synopsis: The gentle fantasy life of quirky and sensitive ex-mental patient Dennis Pitt (Anthony Perkins) spirals dangerously out of control when he becomes intimately involved with pretty high school flirt Sue Ann Stepanek (Tuesday Weld), who reveals an unsuspected gift for cold-hearted violence.
Purr Blur: Immediately after the opening credits, a white cat with dark spots moves out from underneath a pickup truck, a bare instant before Dennis exits his trailer with a bowl of milk for the kitty-cat. Dennis calls for the cat, but there’s no response, so he leaves the bowl on the ground for the impatient feline to consume at his convenience.

Final Mewsings: Some cats just refuse to wait if they’re not fed on time.
