R.F.D. Greenwich Village (circa 1969)

Cotton Producers Institute

Synopsis: What is intended as a commercial for cotton textiles in modern clothing is actually an interesting (albeit narrow-minded) look at Greenwich Village, New York, in the late 1960’s.

Purr Blur: In the beginning of the film a couple is seen doing some gardening in the patio area of their Greenwich Village home.  A speckled cat is seen entering the frame just before the opening credit comes up.

Later in another quick shot of someone raking in the garden, the cat’s head just barely pokes into the frame from above.

Final Mewsings: Cats love getting back to nature in the Village.
