Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A man named Mike (Tom Hanks) tells the story of his life as a boy (Elijah Wood) growing up with his little brother Bobby (Joseph Mazzello) in a home where Bobby was abused by the boys’ stepfather.
Kitty Cameo: As the story begins, the boys are travelling with their mother (Lorraine Bracco) across country. They stop at a dilapidated roadside attraction in Oklahoma called Geronimo Bill’s Wild West Adventure. When Geronimo Bill (Ben Johnson) steps out of a mobile home he is holding a tortoiseshell cat.
The elderly man pauses to set the cat down on a nearby bench and grabs his hat, warning the cat, whose name is Eugene, to keep an eye on the German Shepherd the family has with them.
Final Mewsings: Cats are loyal, especially when living in the middle of nowhere.
