Relentless (1948)

by Linda Kay

Directed by: George Sherman

Synopsis: When Nick Buckley (Robert Young) is framed for murder by a low down gold mine thief, he must depend on the assistance of lovely travelling merchant Luella (Marguerite Chapman) to help clear his name.

Purr Blur: At the end of a very brief scene in an assayer’s office, the camera pans to the window. A gray and white tabby cat is meowing upon the sill but the camera does not even rest on the cat.

Final Mewsings: The cat wishes the film had been shot in a wider aspect ratio.

Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film.
