Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: The sequel to The Creature from the Black Lagoon. This time the monster (affectionately known by fans as Gill) is captured and taken to a Marine Park where he is put on display.
Kitty Cameo: Prof. Clete Ferguson (John Agar) is introduced in his lab where several animals are kept. A young technician (Clint Eastwood in an early uncredited role!) calls the Professor over to a cage containing a gray and white cat and three rats. The technician explains that he thinks the Professor’s theory about animals not harming one another if they are well-fed and cared for is erroneous because there is a rat missing from the cage.
When the Professor asks if the technician was sure he fed the animals that morning, the young Clint reaches into his pocket to find the missing rat.
The cat then continues to be seen in the background of the lab.
Final Mewsings: The cat is still waiting for an apology.
