Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Eddie (Eddie Cantor) is a kind man thrown out of the small town of West Home, Oklahoma, for standing up to corruption. He then dreams about being in ancient Rome where similar intrigue is taking place.
Kitty Cameos: Eddie is working as a grocery delivery boy at the start of the film. When he enters the store, a small cat follows him in.
The storekeeper (Lee Kohlmar) scolds Eddie for giving away food worth more than his salary. As the man is figuring up the amount, Eddie looks down at the floor where a long-haired tabby cat is sniffing at a box of fish fillets.
Eddie lifts the lid of the box with his foot so the cat can get at the fish.
At the end of the film, an elderly woman is sitting and praising Eddie for saving their homes. She is holding a tabby and white cat on her lap.
Final Mewsings: Cats appreciate kind-hearted people.
