Synopsis: Tod (Martin Milner) and Buzz (George Maharis) cross paths with a heroin addict named Arnie (Robert Duvall) who brings out very different reactions; Tod wants to help the man but Buzz responds with aversion and anger.
Kitty Cameo: Near the end of the episode an establishing shot shows a cat on the sidewalk as a boy on a bike delivering newspapers approaches from down the street.
The cat pauses in the middle of the sidewalk to look back at the approaching boy.
The cat moves off the sidewalk as the boy passes, dropping a newspaper on the lawn.
Final Mewsings: Cats won’t fetch newspapers or help dry out junkies.
