Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Dr. Stanley Wayne (George Montgomery) brings his new wife Vera (Angela Lansbury) to the home of his first wife, Julie, who drowned in the lake just outside. Vera, who was present when Julie died, is haunted by memories and especially by Julie’s Siamese cat named Claire.
Featured Feline: Claire is a beautiful Siamese cat that is featured prominently in this story.
Vera is very insecure about taking Julie’s place in her home and Claire seems to be a constant reminder of the tragedy which came before.
As Vera slowly becomes more and more unraveled, Claire gets more persistant about getting in Vera’s way or causing her grief. All this leads to a twist ending, making this a very entertaining piece.
