Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Adam (Howard Keel) is a mountain man who travels into town to claim a wife. But when his brothers see this they all want wives for themselves.

Kitty Cameo: In one scene the brothers sneak into town to kidnap the women they want for their wives. The youngest brother, Gideon (Russ Tamblyn) meows outside the window of Alice (Nancy Kilgas). The mother speculates that someone let their orange tabby cat Pansy outside. Alice’s suitor goes out to check and is about to hit Gideon with a shovel when another brother interferes. Realizing he has to hurry, Gideon starts meowing frantically. Reverend Elcott (Ian Wolfe) comments that Pansy sounds like she has the croup. Alice goes to check and seconds later Pansy appears, walking up to the mother and jumping in her lap. Not seeing this, Alice goes outside only to be kidnapped by Gideon.
