Directed by: Pat Jackson
Synopsis: The police race against time to find seventy dangerous pills which were found by a group of kids who think they are candy.
Kitty Cameos: The kids, who are in a gang called The Rockets, have a secret clubhouse. A young boy named Dickie (Ronnie Johnson) discovers the hideout and looks around, finding a box covered with a cloth which contains two black kittens.
Dickie covers the kittens again and moves the box to a corner.
When The Rockets return to the clubhouse a girl named Nellie (Linda Hansen) notes that someone moved the box which now contains one older cat named Cleopatra (not to mention the box is completely different!) This is how the kids know someone outside the gang was there. It would appear something tasty was put around the cat’s mouth to make her lick her lips.
In a later scene Nellie is holding Cleopatra, who again appears to be a younger cat. So is Cleopatra a mama cat who lives with her kittens in the box? If so, they are never seen together and no mention of them is made. Or did the continuity person just completely drop the ball?
Purr Blur: Another cat can be seen sitting on a sidewalk as Dickie passes.
Final Mewsings: The cats are just as confused as the rest of us!
Many thanks to Mark Murton for letting us know about the cat(s) in this film!
