Synopsis: Jim Warren (H.B. Warner) is on death row but despite the efforts of those who believe he is innocent he refuses to say who really committed the murder in order to protect the person involved.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Flashbacks tell the story of how Jim ended up in this predicament. Years before he was married to Norma (Vera Reynolds) but went to jail. Norma is first seen sitting in her room knitting with a tabby cat on her lap.

She lifts the cat to her breast to cuddle and pet the kitty.

As she continues with her knitting she hears a knock on the door and excitedly anticipates that it could be Jim. She sets the cat down and he sniffs at her yarn before scurrying away as Jim enters.

As Jim and Norma reunite, the cat jumps down from a table onto some newspapers, creating a loud sound which makes Jim nervous. This is the last we see of the cat.

Final Mewsings: If sudden noises make you nervous, it’s probably not a good idea to own a cat.
