Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Young attorney Jeff Mills (Timothy Daly) saves a mysterious woman named Miranda (Kelly Preston) from being assaulted one night and falls in love, only to find she isn’t exactly what she seems.
Kitty Cameo: Jeff takes Miranda home with him and introduces her to his dog Goliath and his black cat Davey. Miranda walks over to the cat and picks him up.
Miranda tells Jeff that the pets are mad at him for coming home so late. “It’s in their eyes,” she says. “You could see it, too, if you knew what to look for.” Miranda then sets the cat down. While Goliath has at least a couple more appearances, Davey is never seen from or mentioned again, which is kind of strange considering the movie is about witchcraft. There are some meows in a closet but no Davey. Strange.
The animal trainer on the film was Gary Gero and the animal handler was Roger Schumacher.
Final Mewsings: You can see how mad a cat actor is by how little part he gets in a film.
