Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Stiches the Clown (Ross Noble) dies in a freak accident during a children’s party and returns six years later to seek revenge on the now-teenagers.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Tom (Tommy Knight), who was the boy having the birthday party when the accident occurred, has grown up with issues because of the incident. He is sitting with his mom (Valerie Spelman) at breakfast when she suddenly seems to call him a Little Shit. She is actually talking to their calico cat, Pud, who is on the counter.

Tom has a birthday party and invites his friends who in turn invite the whole neighborhood. Pud runs away from the vacuum cleaner as Tom prepares the house for the party.

Pud’s feet can also be seen walking through some of the mess of the house during the party.

Stitches returns from the dead to wreak revenge and sometimes sends his clown nose rolling around the house to “sniff out” those responsible for his death. During one of these trips the nose is attacked by Pud.

Pud plays with the bouncing clown nose, which tries to get away. This is done with some clever computer animation.

Stitches the Clown is not amused.

Kitty Carnage Warning! Stitches asks Pud how many lives he has left and then proceeds to kill him (her?) by slamming him against furniture and walls, counting each hit as a life. The only saving grace of this scene is the fact that the cat being smashed around is quite obviously fake.

Six months later we see Tom’s house is for sale and a grave for Pud is in the front yard. The animal trainers on the film were Alan Lally, David Cromwell and Jamie Cromwell.

Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like people who clown around.
