This review contains a mild Kitty Carnage Warning for scruffing!
Synopsis: Part teen-romance part psycho-killer-thriller, Streets features an affecting performance from Christine Applegate as Dawn, a drug-addicted teenage prostitute living on the streets of Los Angeles, who befriends runaway rich kid Sy (David Mendenhall) after he helps her escape the clutches of a violent john. Dawn’s attacker turns out to be sadistic motorcycle cop Lumley (Eb Lottimer) who sets out on an obsessive quest to find and eliminate her.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Returning to his home after his attack on Dawn, Lumley approaches his longhair calico cat which sits preening (likely something was put on the cat’s paw to make her stay).

At first he gently rubs the cat’s head.

But then grabs the poor kitty by the scruff and slowly lifts the clearly uncomfortable cat up to eye level.

Thankfully he is then distracted and drops the cat back to its perch from where it looks back at him apprehensively. The animal wranglers on the film were Jerry and Kitty Eye.

Final Mewsings: The streets might be a safer option for some cats.
