Synopsis: Working as a teacher before becoming an actress, Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas) feels sorry for one student named Tommy (Chris Shea) whose parents can’t make it home to spend Christmas with their son, so she volunteers to spend the holidays at the empty school with him.

Purr Blur: Even the caretaker goes home for Christmas, leaving a to-do list with Ann which includes checking the furnace. When Ann ventures into the basement and looks over the furnace, a black cat suddenly darts out and runs past her, startling her and sending her running.
