Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: An animated short set to the song That’s Love as sung by Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys.
Cartoon Cats: A female kitty lies on her bed looking through romance magazines and wondering what is love.
A tiny male cat angel leaps from the magazine and proceeds to make a heart out of his halo.
When the female is confused, the angel shrinks her to his size and takes her through the heart to answer her question, showing her examples of various lovey dovey animal couples.
One of the couples is a pair of cats hissing at each other on a fence.
When someone throws a brick at them, the cats embrace and then get ideas, pulling down a shade to become “censored.”
After the many examples, the angel boy kisses the kitty girl, who then reciprocates enthusiastically.
This is a very clever animated short by the talented writer, animator and storyboard artist Jason Lethcoe.
Final Mewsings: Cats love love!
