Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Adam Gibson (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a happily married family man living in a futuristic world which has banned human cloning, although he soon learns there is illegal cloning taking place when he comes home to find one has taken his place.
Kitty Cameo: Hank shares a futuristic helicopter charter business with his friend Hank (Michael Rapaport). Hank talks about his cat Sadie, who is a RePet, a cloned version of his deceased cat (who apparently fell out of his condo window). Later when Adam goes to Hank’s apartment and thinks he has been followed he hears a sound in the kitchen and draws his gun to investigate. In the kitchen Sadie the cat suddenly drops down in a classic spring-loaded cat moment, scaring Adam.
Sadly Hank is killed during the course of the movie and no mention of Sadie is made until the end when Adam and his clone are together. Adam’s clone is petting Sadie who is sitting in a box.
Adam’s clone takes Sadie home and gives her to his daughter Clara (Taylor Anne Reid). Clara is thrilled and gives him a hug, not knowing this is the cloned version of her father who is seeing her for the last time.
Final Mewsings: For once it was nice to find out what happened to the cat!
