Directed by: Stuart Rosenberg
Synopsis: The Lutz family moves into a new home, unaware that it had previously been the scene of a vicious mass murder. They find out quickly enough, though, when creepy things start happening.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): George (James Brolin), the patriarch of the family, is the most affected by whatever evil presence is in the home. After checking the boathouse late one night he is sitting by a window when a black cat suddenly appears, having been catapulted into place on the other side of the glass. This is accompanied by the most ear-splitting screech one can possibly imagine!
George jumps a mile as the cat stares at him through the glass, hissing. The cat does not appear to belong to the family and does not appear again.
The animal trainer on the film was Karl Lewis Miller.
Final Mewsings: When an evil entity sends a black cat to do their bidding, at least offer the kitty some tuna!
