Kitty Cameo: Elly May is practicing her typing skills at Miss Hathaway’s place as Rusty the cat and Earl the rooster watch. Rusty keeps playing with the machine, causing Elly to finally pull him away as she complains, “Rusty, please, I’m havin’ enough trouble tryin’ to learn typewritin’ without you grabbin’ for the keys!”
Elly laments that she’ll never be as good at typewriting as Miss Hathaway but the latter assures her that her main job is to keep their boss, Mr. Drysdale, from being so nasty.
As the pair start for work Elly says goodbye to the critters. Miss Hathaway is surprised and asks Elly if the cat and rooster are compatible. “Oh no! They gets along just fine,” Elly assures her.
