Synopsis: Mr. Drysdale (Raymond Bailey) tries to hook the Clampetts on deep sea fishing which leads them to try their hand at the sport at Marine Land.
Cinema Cat (with bonus Cat Cattle Call): Mr. Drysdale gives the Clampetts a large trophy fish as a means to interest them in deep sea fishing, but they think they are supposed to eat it. Granny (Irene Ryan) puts it in a pot over a fire outside and tries to boil it down to no avail. Jed (Buddy Ebsen) points out that they don’t want to hurt Mr. Drysdale’s feelings by not eating his gift so Elly May (Donna Douglas) suggests maybe her cat Rusty would like it. “He’s had his eye on it since Jethro fetched it out here.” “That’s a heap of fish for one cat,” Granny sighs. “Don’t worry about that, Granny,” Jed says, “Appears like Rusty has rounded him up some friends to help.” We see Rusty sitting on a little bench with numerous cats sitting behind him. Granny sighs and wishes them loads of luck.
Final Mewsings: Cats are generous with their friends.
