Synopsis: Jake Clampett (King Donovan) tells Jed (Buddy Ebsen) that he’s his cousin then gets everyone’s heads full of Hollywood dreams.

Kitty Cameo: Jethro (Max Baer Jr.) urges Jed and Granny (Irene Ryan) to come watch Jake as he descends down the stairs. Elly May (Donna Douglas) is already waiting in the foyer with her critters, including ginger tabby cat Rusty (played by cat actor Orangey).

Elly scolds the others for standing in front of her critters and blocking their view, making the family step to one side.

They watch as Jake descends, dressed like a Hollywood star. Part way down, he slips and falls down the stairs.

The family and the critters are both equally impressed.

Final Mewsings: Cats like watching people do silly things as much as people like watching cats do silly things.
