Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Lt. Bruno Stachel (George Peppard) is a talented flyer for Germany’s air force in World War I, but his blind ambition leads him down a ruinous road, both with his unit and with the General’s wife Kaeti (Ursula Andress).
Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): Early in the second half of the film Stachel stumbles into a seedy hotel where a tuxedo cat is manning the desk alone.
After slamming his hand on the bell a couple of times, Stachel heads on upstairs. The cat remains stoic on the desk.
Once upstairs we see that both Kaeti and another tuxedo cat on her bed are bathing themselves.
Stachel enters and after Kaeti takes off his boots and they have some heated words she moves to the bed where the tuxedo is still resting.
The cat remains on the bed with the couple throughout the scene, both when they are arguing and when they are making love.
Final Mewsings: Hotel cats know how to be very discreet.
Many thanks to Aaron Shuster for letting us know about the cat in this film.
