Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Claire Peterson (Jennifer Lopez) is separated from her husband and raising their teenaged son when an older boy named Noah (Ryan Guzman) moves in next door and develops a dangerous fixation on her.
Kitty Cameo: Late in the film Noah has gone to the home of Claire’s friend Vicky (Kristin Chenoweth) and is holding her captive. As the camera focuses in on Noah’s face, a cat’s tail passes behind him.
As the camera slowly pans out the tabby cat can be seen on the counter behind him, first licking something from the counter then licking his paw.
Moments later Claire arrives to a darkened house and uses the light from her cell phone to look for Vicky. Suddenly the cat screeches and runs past Claire’s foot in a classic spring-loaded cat moment.
Final Mewsings: There must be more for cats to do in horror movies than just spring out at people.
