Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Dr. Frankenstein (Sting) creates a beautiful female companion, Eva (Jennifer Beales), for his monster. She promptly rejects the hideously scarred creature, sending him on a murderous rampage that results in the laboratory being destroyed by a fire in which he is assumed to have perished. Frankenstein returns to his castle with Eva and, increasingly attracted to his new creation, sets about teaching her to be a proper Victorian woman. But the creature survived and the trio’s paths are destined to cross again.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Pleased with her progress, The Baron has Eva accompany him to a formal party held by a Countess (Verushka). Eva is initially well-spoken and formal, impressing the Countess and other guests. But sitting nearby is the Countess’s daughter (Annie Roddam) who is playing with an Abyssinian kitten.

At which point Eva screams at the kitten, shocking everyone and causing the poor kitty to cower on the floor before running off to hide. On the coach journey home Eva explains that she was frightened. “Of a cat?” demands the Baron. “You never told me about cats,” counters Eva, “I thought it was a tiny lion.”
