Synopsis: The quirky, crazy tale of two Brothers named Bloom (Adrian Brody) and Stephen (Mark Ruffalo) who, from a young age, become adept confidence men. With the help of their multi-faceted companion Bang Bang (Rinko Kikuchi), they set out to bilk a lonely, wealthy heiress named Penelope (Rachel Weisz). But things become complicated with when sensitive brother Bloom starts to fall in love with their latest mark.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In the first scenes of the film we see the young Brothers as they move from foster home to foster home, landing in a small town where Brother Stephen sums up the town as having only one of everything. Included in this inventory is one cat, which is actually a small orange tabby kitten who, through some unknown circumstance as explained in the narrative, only has one leg.
The kitten is seen inside a roller skate with a crutch taped to its one paw as it pushes itself along the street while the younger Bloom (Zachary Gordon) looks on.
Final Mewsings: You can’t keep a good cat down!
