Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A mouse gets tired of being chased by a cat and suggests the cat talk to the dog about not being chased, too.
Cartoon Cat: The short begins with the cat (whose name may be Pussy, since that is what is written on his bed) chasing the mouse throughout a house.
After ducking into his hole, the mouse realizes that he is tired of being chased and goes back out to confront the cat.
The mouse explains that he is a nervous wreck from being chased all the time and won’t put up with it any more.
By way of example, the mouse points out that the cat is constantly being chased by the dog. He then strongly suggests that the cat go put a stop to it.
The cat is nervous as he goes outside to talk to Spike the bulldog. He starts out by talking to Spike from the top of an open gate.
Growing bolder by the fact that Spike is chained to his dog house, the cat gets closer and bolder.
The cat becomes nervous when he accidently flips Spike’s water dish onto the dog’s head.
At last the cat flat out demands not to be chased, growing confident. That is until he realizes that Spike is not actually chained.
The gate has blown closed so when the cat tries to jump up out of the dog’s reach he finds himself falling back down.
The cat later comes back into the house where the mouse is sitting on his bed. The mouse soon realizes that the cat was unsuccessful and that things are going back to the way they were.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t appreciate revolutionary ideas.
