Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: In this short from the Out of the Inkwell series, Koko the Clown’s little brother comes to visit and shows up his older sibling, doing better and fancier tricks and tumbles.
Kitty Cameo: As is usual with these shorts that combine live action with animated characters, Max Fleischer is seen drawing Koko at his drawing board. The postman arrives and hands Max several pieces of mail, then reaches into his pouch to retrieve a gray tabby kitten.
The kitten has a paper around its middle as if it has been sent by mail to Max, but no explanation is given.
Max places the kitten on the floor and it doesn’t show up again until Koko the Clown tumbles from the drawing board to land on the cat’s back.
The kitten takes off and Koko is hanging on to its tail.
Koko drops off the kitten, who runs out the door and meets Max by the elevator before wandering away.
Final Mewsings: Now that’s what we call a special delivery!
