Synopsis: Thad Beaumont (Timothy Hutton) writes seedy novels under the alias of George Stark then finds the ruthless character he created has taken on a life of his own.
Kitty Cameo: When things get out of hand, Thad visits a fellow professor named Reggie Delesseps (Julie Harris) who studies the occult. A long-haired ginger tabby cat is in her office, walking among her possessions.





At one point Thad is on the phone and screams, which gets the cat’s attention.


The animal trainers on the film were Mark Harden and Ursula Brauner with Boone’s Animals for Hollywood.

Final Mewsings: No one ever asks for the cat’s opinion.
