Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: An overly ravenous alien creature lands on Earth and settles into a remote house to start spawning while eating all the human occupants.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After a male house occupant named Sam is eaten in the cellar, his wife Barb (Elissa Neil) comes down the stairs accompanied by the family’s pet tuxedo cat.
Barb picks up the cat before going into the kitchen.
There she prepares just about the biggest bowl of food ever for the lone cat who tucks in.
Eventually Barb goes looking in the cellar and is also dismembered and devoured. The cat keeps looking down the cellar stairs through the open door, eventually wandering down the steps.
Fortunately, unlike the humans, the cat is smart enough to bolt at the sight of blood and escapes unscathed, startling Aunt Millie (Ethel Michelson) with a poor cat screech in his hasty retreat to leave the premises.
Final Mewsings: It’s always a relief when the cat escapes the horror movie!
Many thanks to Yayoi Neko and Mark Murton for letting us know about the cat in this film.
