Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A teenaged girl and aspiring artist named Minnie (Bel Powley) grows up quickly in San Francisco of the 70’s when she starts to have an affair with her mother’s boyfriend Monroe (Alexander Skarsgård).
Kitty Cameo: At the beginning of the film Minnie records her diary into a taperecorder in her room, explaining how she has just lost her virginity. A grey and white cat named Domino is there with her.
Minnie picks up Domino and says, “You stupid cat, I love you!” She then asks, “Do I look different than I did yesterday?”
Domino hisses and she sets him down on the floor.
Domino is seen in her room again later.
Closer to the end of the film, Domino is seen in the living room with Minnie. The cat crosses the couch and then approaches Minnie.
After that Domino is only seen sitting in the living room alone. Domino was played by Willie who stepped in and acted on behalf of his owner, director Marielle Heller.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like it when young girls are promiscuous.
