The F.B.I. – “Deadfall”

by Ted Davis

Original Air Date: March 1, 1970

Directed by: Don Medford

Synopsis: What could go wrong when middling career criminal Ronnie Brimlow (Wayne Rogers) and volatile psychopath Frank Moonan (Robert Drivas) kidnap helpless housewife Mary Cochella (Zohra Lampert) as the first step in a scheme to extort 100k in box office receipts from her fundamentally decent and honest husband Fred (Paul Picerni)? As it happens, just about what you’d expect, with veteran F.B.I. Inspector Lewis Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) and his able partner Special Agent Tom Colby (William Reynolds) on hand to stymie the unlawful activities and to clean up the mess.

Kitty Cameo: In the pre-credits sequence, while searching in the neighbor’s shrubbery for Cookie, her yellow and white tabby kitten, 7-year old Vickie Floria (Erin Moran) witnesses a kidnapping.
