Starring: Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Ian Holm
Directed by: Luc Besson
Synopsis: Futuristic sci-fi film about an ex-mercenary turned cab driver named Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis) who finds himself involved in a mission to save the world via a beautiful and mysterious woman named Leeloo (Milla Jovovich).
Featured Feline: The first time we see Korben Dallas he is in his apartment in South Brooklyn. As he wakes up we see a white cat waiting outside his door.
Korben gets up to answer the phone and presses a button which allows the cat to enter. He addresses the cat only as Sweetie.
As Korben continues to talk on the phone the cat lovingly rubs herself on his leg and boots.
When Korben leaves the apartment he turns the television set on for the cat, telling her not to watch all day.
Later in the film Korben returns to his apartment and realizes he has not fed the cat. He apologizes to her.
Sweetie is only seen once more in the film when Korben is home eating Korean food from a delivery stand. After this Korben leaves and doesn’t return for the rest of the movie.
Sweetie appears cross-eyed in the film but director Luc Besson once explained that the cat focusing on the camera lens made her look cross-eyed.
Final Mewsings: Korben will really have to apologize to Sweetie when he gets home this time!
