Original Air Date: May 17, 1956
Synopsis: The family prepares for the marriage of Sammy (Tom Taylor) but Molly (Gertrude Berg) is shocked when the extended family refuses to attend the wedding and gives her the cold shoulder.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Molly figures out that the person behind the silent treatment is Tante Elka and immediately calls her to find out what is wrong. But Tante Elka, who is clutching her squirming tabby cat while speaking to the operator, refuses to accept Molly’s call. She even refuses to talk to Uncle David (Eli Mintz) and hangs up the phone.

Molly and David head over to Elka’s home and Elka is sitting with the cat when they arrive. She unceremoniously drops the cat into a nearby chair and answers the door but we don’t see the kitty again.

Final Mewsings: Cats would prefer we never take any phone calls.
