Synopsis: Lecherous alcoholic pub landlord Maurice (Albert Finney) has visions of a 17th-century doctor of the occult, beginning a monumental clash between good and evil in this three part serial.

Kitty Cameo: The Siamese cat in this episode belongs to Maurice’s daughter Amy (Natalie Morse) and is first seen when Maurice goes into her room to see if she intends to attend his birthday celebration that evening. She is lying on the bed cuddling her cat while watching TV.

As they talk the cat moves off.

The cat appears again later when Maurice again goes to speak to Amy in her room, only to find she isn’t there and all he sees is the cat sitting on the bed with the TV on in the background. The cat does not appear again.

Final Mewsings: Cats on TV enjoy watching TV.
