Synopsis: A long unemployed man (Spencer Tracy) struggles to provide for his wife and little girl but a bleak future may push him to desperate means.

Purr Blur: In one scene a policeman taps on the sidewalk outside the man’s flat to summon a fellow officer.  When the policeman turns his back to the camera, a cat runs across the screen behind him.

Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like their sidewalks being tapped.
