Synopsis: The true story of Father Charles Dismas Clark (Don Murray), a St. Louis-based priest who worked with criminals and convicts to try to help them better their lives.
Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): One of the young hoodlums that Father Clark tries to help is an ex-con named Billy (Keir Dullea). Father Clark gets Billy a job at a packing company where he is later accused of theft. Out of anger, Billy and his friend Pio (Don Joslyn) break into the warehouse office to rob the safe. As Pio is cracking the safe, Billy is watching out from the warehouse windows for anyone approaching. He hears a noise and sees two kittens eating something that looks like liver on the ground. He reaches over and pets one of them.
Billy picks up one tabby kitten and looks at him, not noticing that his former boss is arriving.
By the time Billy hears the man, it is too late. He then sets the cat aside. Strangely enough he appears to be holding the other kitten now!
Final Mewsings: Cat burglars should not get distracted by cats.
