Synopsis: Second Lieutenant Merle Wye (Jim Hutton) is stationed on a remote island near the end of World War II where he finds himself distracted by the beautiful Lt. Molly Blue (Paula Prentiss) while he attempts to track down a Japanese soldier who has been stealing supplies.

Kitty Cameo: In one scene Merle gets chewed out by his superior. Merle then turns to Sergeant Jess Yomura (Lloyd Kino) and yells at him for nothing. Sgt. Yomura then turns on a private who is sweeping nearby and yells at him. The private angrily yells at a dog that is sitting nearby, causing him to go away. As the dog grumpily growls it turns a corner and then sees a calico cat on a metal drum. The dog then barks at the cat, who starts to fight back as the scene ends.
