Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Alex Rogan (Lance Guest) is a good kid stuck in a dead-end life until his prowess at video games brings him to the attention of some interstellar freedom fighters.
Kitty Cameo: Alex lives in the Starlite Starbrite trailer park which is a sleepy little park in the middle of nowhere. An orange tabby cat is one of the residents and is first seen popping out of a mailbox in the morning.
The rest of the time the cat is seen sitting on top of the Starfighter arcade game which Alex plays often. The cat is seen sitting on top during the daytime . . .
. . . and is still sitting there at night. Although in reality the cat is sometimes on the game and sometimes not, even in the same scene.
The cat is so mellow it just hangs out without a care, even when Alex starts to break the record on the game and everyone in the park crowds around to watch.
The only interest the cat shows is right when Alex is about to win the game, as he then stretches down a paw down toward the screen. After this the cat is not seen again.
Final Mewsings: Cats would always hang out on video games if they could only get to the arcade.
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this movie.
