Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Kevin (Stephen Rannazzisi) gets into a rough basketball game with his priest (Jerry O’Connell), while Pete (Mark Duplass) tries to decide whether he wants to play a prank on Andre (Paul Scheer), risking his potential relationship with a girl.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At the beginning of the episode the friends are at Andre’s house when a Maine Coon cat suddenly appears.
Andre explains he rescued the cat and calls her M’lady. When he leaves the room, the others start making the obvious pussy jokes and Jenny (Katie Aselton) bets they can’t refrain from making the jokes in front of Andre.
Andre decides to do a photo shoot using M’Lady and Pete meets a girl named Penny (Anna Camp) who is starting a pet grooming business. She specializes in what she calls “catitude” and the guys think it would be funny to have her give M’Lady a crazy makeover before the photo shoot. At the end of the episode Andre is ready for the shoot when Penny brings M’Lady back and reveals her to be completely punked out with a hat, clothes and shaved, tattooed areas on her body.
M’Lady runs off and Andre goes to look for her. Later Father Muldoon arrives and Jenny and Kevin offer to show him something. After some shocking incidents he opens the door to a cabinet and the crazily groomed M’Lady is inside.
She jumps out at the startled priest. Father Muldoon struggles with the cat then throws her down (some of this was likely done with a fake cat.) She runs away.
Final Mewsings: Priests shouldn’t go around scaring cats!
