Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Harry Miller (Victor Mature) reluctantly moves to Liverpool for his wife and gets caught up in intrigue and love when he starts driving a truck on a run to Scotland.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After a run-in with a crooked trucking agent, Harry ends up driving off with the man’s girlfriend Lynn (Diana Dors). They stop at an inn called The Wayside for a rest and something to eat. While they are talking, the heavy set female proprietor (Madge Brindley) walks behind the counter and picks up a gigantic longhaired calico cat.
She sets the cat on the counter. Eventually it jumps back down.
The cat is lying on a cushion on the counter when Harry goes to pay the bill. He even pauses to pet the cat’s head.
Again the cat jumps down from the counter, standing by the woman.
The next morning we see the woman and the cat just before Harry comes downstairs.
Final Mewsings: Cats actors may hit their marks but it doesn’t mean they will stay there.
