Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Based on the novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A group of explorers discover a land where dinosaurs still roam.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At the beginning of the longest version of the film, reporter Ed Malone (Lloyd Hughes) is preparing to propose to his girlfriend Gladys (Alma Bennett) but she stops him, saying she is happy with things the way they are. Behind them is a large white Persian cat wearing a bow lying on the floor.
Gladys turns around and picks up the cat, sitting down on the sofa to play with him or her.
Ed wants her to tell him what is wrong with him and he grabs the cat and tosses the poor thing to one side before pulling her up off the couch.
Gladys tells him that she needs the man she marries to have done great deeds and had strange experiences. Ed leaves and Gladys looks down at her cat, playing with the kitty with a toy on a string as she plays with Ed’s affections.
Final Mewsings: Women are right to turn down men who throw cats.
Many thanks to Jo Madge for letting us know about the cat in this film.
