Synopsis: Film spin-off from the popular ITV sitcom about a hesitant, inexperienced, young couple, Geoffrey (Richard Beckinsale) and Beryl (Paula Wilcox) attempting to negotiate the sexual minefield of the ‘permissive’ society.
Kitty Cameo: The cat is first seen when a shot of fish in a tank changes focus to show a tabby and white cat sitting on a chair in the background watching the occupants of the tank.

The cat reappears when scenes of Geoffrey and Beryl out at a party are intercut with shots of Geoffrey’s father (John Comer) and mother Mildred (Stella Moray) having a quiet night in with the cat perched on Mildred’s lap as she knits while watching television.

The next few times the couple are shown the cat has moved off Mildred’s lap and is sitting on the sofa beside her washing itself.

Final Mewsings: We prefer cat lovers.
