Synopsis: The series picks up nine years after the events of the first season with Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) leading a new life as Alex Goodwin working government night surveillance for MI6. But is the past really dead and buried?
Kitty Cameo: In a brief scene which takes place in Alex’s apartment, his neighbor Theresa (Maja Simonsen) knocks at his door in the afternoon to return his escape artist longhair ginger cat named Corky (if you’ve seen season one of the show you know the significance of the name).
Alex tells his cat, “You, sir, are a flirt.”
Theresa makes it clear she is interested in dating Alex but he all but rebuffs her advances and kisses his cat, accusing the cat of getting him trouble.
Despite only making this very brief appearance and not showing up again at all this season, the cat has become known as “Naughty Corky” on social media. Since Alex abandons this life pretty quickly it is hard to say if we will ever know what happened to Corky.
Final Mewsings: If you’re not willing to walk away from spy work, don’t get a cat.
