Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Based on the book by John Grisham. Rudy Baylor (Matt Damon) is a young aspiring attorney fresh out of law school whose ideals are put to the test when he takes on a lawsuit against a giant insurance corporation.
Cat Cattle Call: His client against the insurance company is the Black family whose son Donny Ray (Johnny Whitworth) is dying of leukemia. At their home the father, Buddy (Red West) is somewhat detached from reality and likes to sit in a car in the back yard. The car is covered with cats.
The car and the cats are seen several times throughout the film, including the time when they film Donny’s deposition in the back yard.
Final Mewsings: Cats make excellent deposition witnesses.
