Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Waldo Kitty (voiced by Howard Morris) is too scared to save Felicia (voiced by Jane Webb) from the brutish bulldog Tyrone (voiced by Allan Melvin) so he daydreams of becoming the masked superhero Cat Man.
Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): In the live action opening Waldo, a ginger and white tabby cat, is lounging on a lawn chair until his owner Maureen moves him.

Sitting on the lawn, he overhears Tyrone the bulldog growling and barking at a yellow parakeet named Sparrow who is sitting in a tree.

Waldo joins Felicia, a beautiful white longhair cat, who notes that someone should give Tyrone a good thrashing. But Waldo is too scared, so Felicia steps forward and offers to help Sparrow.

Felicia distracts Tyrone so Sparrow can fly away (why he couldn’t just fly away before is anyone’s guess) and Tyrone chases her. Felicia begs Waldo to help her and Sparrow urges Waldo to do something but Waldo is still too afraid.

Waldo starts to daydream about being Cat Man, a superhero who would know what to do in such a situation.

The show segues into the animation segment in which Tyone is now the evil villain Jester who, along with his canine cohorts, has captured Miss Felicia, head of Felicia Flea Collars Inc., in order to lure and capture Cat Man.

At Kitty Manor, Waldo Kitty is sitting with Sparrow when they get a call from the Commissioner on the Cat Phone asking for help.

Donning their superhero disguises, Cat Man and Bird Wonder drive off in the Cat Mobile. Jester’s flunkies try several times to capture them as they drive, but Cat Man always has some kind of gadget to elude them.

At the Commissioner’s office Cat Man promises he will get to the bottom of all the recent flea collar robberies.

After receiving a call from Jester threatening Miss Felicia, whom he has tied to a giant pendulum, the heroic pair jump into the Cat Copter.

Once they reach Jester’s lair, Cat Man and Bird Wonder work together to avoid the fiend’s devilish traps and rescue Miss Felicia.

Cat Man then catches up with Jester as he’s trying to abscond with the stolen flea collars.

Cat Man saves the day and the show dissolves back to live action.

Having gained courage from his daydream, Waldo stands up to Tyrone who starts chasing him, allowing Felicia the chance to get away.

Waldo runs toward Tyrone’s owner, Mr. Wetzel (voiced by Chuck Dawson), who is taking out the trash. Tyrone trips his owner and is scolded.

Felicia praises Waldo for his bravery as the episode ends.
